FNGD STARTER FRIDAY OCTOBER 31, 2008

#1 Post by etaoin22 » Fri Oct 31, 2008 8:44 pm

List in order from cheapest to most expensive, these four brands of Chevrolet, as marketed exactly 50 years ago in 1958 (and then, probably being shoved out of the showrooms for those fantastic '59s.

1 - Bel-Air
2 - Biscayne
3 - Delay
4 - Impala

I don't remember even hearing about the Delay. That must mean it was either the cheapest or the most expensive.

2 - Biscayne
1 - Bel-Air
4 - Impala
3 - Delay

I know the other three but never heard of a Delay. I have a feeling that's because it wasn't marketed over here in the cheap seats. I'll put it most spensive.

Can you pretend I did the order right, cheapest to most expensive, regardless of whether I got any in the correct order?

No change from me. I know as much about the Delray and the Delay -- but I was thinking that was an unfortunate name for a car model.

No changes for me except the upside down part.

I wouldn't want to compound my errors.

Nah,guess who knows about CHEVROLETS????????? I dont have to say,do I?

Delray cheapest then Biscayne Belair Impala.

They decided they only needed three from 1959 onwards.

Delray went.

All the names except Belair were new in 1958, which means noone in a song or othewise ever bought a '57 Biscayne and put it in a ditch.

Whoo Hoo. Except the closest I ever came to driving a '58 Chevrolet was cruising in my 1957 Ford Fairlane -- and that was well into the 1960s, darn it.

I don't remember the 57 Ford Fairlane, but my dad had a 65 Fairlane I had to learn to drive. Standard transmission, of course.
