B - In last fall's election, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper campaigned on a no-deficit platform. How large, according to the official leaks, is the estimate of deficit presented in the budget next week going to be?

Within 10 gets full points, if I were counting points.

G - Traditionally, what item of new clothing does the Canadian Finance Minister wear for presenting a budget in the House of Commons?

72 million loonies.

He wears a new tie (or le [or la] cravatte nouveau.)

He failed to ask for my fashion advice. I would have told him to deep-six the clip-on.

United States may hit a Trillion. Canada is proportionately doing rather better, but still not great.

Elmo got new shoes!

I consider this synchronicity too suspicious to be merely coincidental. I have never seen Elmo and the Canadian Finance Minister in the same place at the same time.
