FNGD Q2 090206 ON THE UP AND UP

#1 Post by etaoin22 » Fri Feb 06, 2009 10:04 pm

Q2 - ON THE UP AND UP

B - "Report from Engine Co. #82", and "40,000 Ladders" were early 1970's memoirs of what type of work?

G - Motown did try to get the residual Supremes some good songs and hits after the departure of Diana Ross in 1970. The first and maybe best such song was: "Up the Ladder to ______". To where?

Fire fighting! (Go, firemen, go! Driggs just got its first ladder truck as luxury hotels are under construction.)

Up the Ladder to the Roof (and one of my favorite Supremes songs)

Judy, I think you should have had an insider help for that one!

Firemen (at the time; dont think any females in the books except those needing to be saved)

To the roof.

I have always been more partial to that song than to the Diany Ross solo output of that era, and I wish there had been more like it, or at least with its success.
