Australia.

somwhere between 1 and 2 PM now. I think.

What does time and date.com say?

Between 2 and 3 PM-- they are still on daylight time!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and they call it EDT too!!!!!!!!!

in Melbourne where the race is!

http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/r ... =melbourne

Scotties Tournament of Hearts is Curling.

Of course it is completely apparently illogical that the SCOTTIES tournament is for CANADA, but it is a brand of facial tissue.

26-26 before the final Q.

Q5 - ONE-WAY TICKETS

The question I did not get a chance to post when the bored crashed last friday.

Q5 - AS WE WERE SO RUDELY INTERRUPTED, , ON A ONE-WAY TICKET

B - This "Joe" comic strip lead character, is also a name used to refer disparagingly to a relatively anonymous and rough-hewn
prizefighter up against a much more skilled opponent.

G - This comic strip lead character married her lover, who needed that famous rare black orchid serum from Africa to perform, (I mean to live),
but he soon after took what turned out to be a one-way ticket to that continent. At least, its been about 30 years now....

Donna, I believe you're thinking of Lola Palooza.

Lola. She was a showgirl.

In later years, she ran a concert tour.

Poop.

That's what I get for being a male chauvinist piglet.

I skipped "Brenda Starr", "Rex Morgan", "Mary Worth", and all those "girl" comics when I was a kid.

Well, if you saw my handwriting a z and k are pretty interchangable.

Or it was a typo.

Whichever one the Meister will believe!

Joe Palooka

I have to look a bit more into the Pennsylvania connection, as I did see him in my mind as someone out of Deer Hunter. Someone whose foreman has decked him with tougher shots than a pro boxer.

Brenda Starr.

Dont forget the origin of the word "orchid".
I will leave it at that.

G team ekes out the win by 3 points. Thanks all
