I should pay closer attention - dunno the Obama question. But I do know HIllary was swigging Crown Royal! :o

Just ask Manolo. These shoes should be outlawed! I've never had a pair on, but they just look uncomfortable, besides being ugly. Seems like your feet would sweat all the time....yuk!

Here's an excerpt from Manolo's blog:

Manolo says, comfort and style they are not incompatible, one does not obviate the other.

Finally, the defenders of the Crocs they will tell you that the Crocs they cost only $35, which seems cheap, until one realizes that they are manufactured out of the plastic rings used to hold the packs of six. Not the good value at half the price.

For these reasons, the Manolo he has consigned the Crocs to the Gallery of the Horrors

It's quite entertaining to read the blog - here's a link to the entire entry.

I didn't know they had a Canadian connection - too bad about the third world thing as well.

B - The Frenchman Jean Casadesus died in a car crash on the old Killer Strip of Highway 17 near Rockland, Ont, when the 2-lane road was still the main route between Ottawa and Montreal. This was a particularly noted death, since M. Casadesus was

1 - Youngest in a famed family of classical pianists, and he would play the three-piano repertoire with his parents.
2 - Youngest and bravest of a family of tightrope walkers.
3 - A French cabinet minister studying North American highway quality.
4 - A race car driver who had survived fiery Grand Prix racing wrecks.

G - The Gray Nuns in Orleans, Ontario, which in 1956 was a lonely outpost between Ottawa and Rockland, and is now a bustling suburb, had a convent there. It was destroyed by fire with considerable loss of life, after being struck by:

1 - Twelve consecutive bolts of lightning.
2 - An out of control fuel oil truck, followed by an out of control fire truck
3 - A 250 pound meteorite
4 - A fighter aircraft from a squadron protecting the national capital.
I dunno either of these. Very interesting though.

Thank you, Kay! THAT'S what I was thinking of!

Crocs, eh? Aptly named. To me, they are a "croc" of..well, you know.

As you know, I am not a shoe afficianado, so I don't usually pay attention. But those things are pretty UGLY! I have seen them all over the place...seems avery other person down at Disney was wearing them a few months ago..and all I could think of was..WHY???

So.... it's The Raptors, of whom I have never heard, Hornets, Jazz and one other team?

Is that right?
The NBA Playoffs just started, soi there are a lot of teams still alive:

Washington Wizards
Cleveland Cavaliers
Phoenix Suns
San Antonio Spurs
Dallas Mavericks
New Orleans Hornets
Utah Jazz
Houston Rockets
Toronto Raptors
Orlando Magic
Denver Nuggets
LA Lakers
Philadelphia 76'ers
Detroit Pistons
Atlanta Hawks
Boston Celtics
Fonda T-Bones

Oops. Strike that last one. We just missed it. Us and the Knicks. Pretty much everybody else, though.

Crown Royal: Mr. Bronfman moved everything somewhere else than Canada, so I dont think it qualifes as being from here anymore, but it aint one of those classic American brands. Ack! Got 'em both wrong.

I'll have to spend some time in Altoona one of these days.

G - 700 jobs down the drain in Canada, and Lou Dobbs won't even notice. It seems this fine fad footwear cannot abide North American wages of up to fifteen bucks, and will henceforth be made only in the third world.
RadioDude ran a few sentences of it in English. But maybe those were the only ones. I'll guess English.

I'll guess Manolo.

I may yet indulge in Panthers-themed crocs.

Or not.

They are too wide for my foot. I think I have tried to real ones, maybe not. I shall try another pair, just to make sure.
