Q2 - Cito and Demi: NAMES IN THE NEWS

B - 64 year old Cito Gaston makes the news, for returning to the site of his greatest triumph, hired again as baseball manager of this team.

G - 15 year old Demi Lovato opens today as singing star of this movie, on Disney TV (She's way way too young for those "tasteful" photographers... We hope.)

There is probably some dancing in this movie. OTOH Cito has a cool walk to take pitchers out of the game.

B-- Toronto Blue Jays?

G -- Um, I've never heard of this artiste, and I didn't see her name in The Love Guru review, so I'm clueless.

Toronto Blue Jays.

That movie with The Jonas Brothers (insert granddaughter's squeals here).
Camp Rock, I think. I've only heard about "the Jonas Brothers Movie" about 3,467,654 times.

TWEET! Foul. Unfair advantage. T-Bone has a granddaughter of exactly to right age to know about this stuff. Harrumph.

I'm pretty sure of Toronto

Even being pointed in the right direction doesn't help me! My little ones I have around these days are too young at the moment.

Fine. Every time she starts in about the Jonas Brothers or Corbin Bleu or whoever the teen hunk o'the month is, I'll have her call you and tell you all about it. After about 3 hours of that, your brains will be cream o'wheat like mine!

Shouldn't complain. Many of her peers listen to hardcore rap. And she DOES love the Beatles. I should count my blessings.

I haven't heard anything about this from my great nieces,

Right now we're all into Go Diego Go!

I guess the movie is kinda narrowmarketing. tween-pre-teen.

I was amazed as I read about these miracles of marketing. We will soon know as much as about Miley Cyrus, no doubt.

Ms. Demi, as I read the marketing, is being positioned as hotter than Hillary.

Hillary Duff.

Editing doesn't help me, either. Haven't paid attention to baseball, and the younguns around here aren't young enough for the Jonas Bros.

At least the Disney Channel was added to the Cox Cable HD line-up this week. Maybe I can get Lizbit to watch it and give me summaries.

Be careful. Lizbit will be begging you to take her to the Avril Lavigne/Jonas Bros./Demi Lovato concert. Caity just saw the commercial tonight for it and hit me with a full-court press of those puppy-dog eyes. And she gots big brown ones, so they's a potent force indeed. The battle may be over before it's even begun.

Bumpa tends to be a pushover where Caity-did is concerned..

Uh-oh. Big brown puppy dog eyes is what Lizbit does best.

Because Etaoin asked about Demi Lovato, of whom I had not heard, and T_Bone knew all about Camp Rock, I hereby announced that I tuned into the Saturday night telecast of said campy movie, in the interests of caring deeply about Ms. Lovato and the Brothers Jonas.

I lasted about five minutes.

I figured that if I watched any more than that, I would be too cool to hang out with the 13-year-olds in my neighborhood.
