B - WHich opening ceremonies featured a group of Elvis Impersonators, or, at least, a bunch of performers who did not sing, dressed up like Elvis?

G - Which opening ceremonies featured Sarah Brightman. ?

Los Angeles.

IIRC seated at pianos coming in and out of the arches of the LA coliseum.

Today. Beijing. China.

Just an afterthought, in fact, so that I could say the last stuff I won on CJAD Sunday Morning Trivia show was not some mere smoked meat dinners, but...

two Sarah Brightman tickets.

For her show in MTL in late November.

And the more I learn about her, the more I am impressed.

Although I think the CJAD boys gave me the ticks to keep me from calling in for a while and talking too much.

Congrats Doc! Nice win.

Guess I will have to learn something about her. Other than being English, I know very little

Hurray for the Sarah Brightman tickets! I think she is amazing.

I'm not sure how I missed her tonight, though. I must have been paying too much attention to FNGD or something.

I heard beautiful singing, and I looked up to see the globe with the people as you describe. I missed the intro, so I didn't know who it was, but actually thought, "Gee, she doesn't look Chinese," before looking back at my computer screen and forgetting that instant when the question was asked.

So, was there any particular story about why she was invited to appear in the opening ceremony?
