I'm drifting tonight. It's been a tough week at school. The kids are great, but w are over-th-top busy. Just finished the 4th week, and I've already had to give up 3 days of teaching in order to administer state/district-mandated tests.

Sheesh. Does this round of tests constitute some "before," which will be followed by an "after" later in the year, or is this supposed to measure how much the kids have learned in the first three weeks of school?

One was a 2-dayer that is a "before", that will be followed by 6 single-day "interim" tests to see if we are covering all the Benchmarks on the state test. Like we don't know what the Benchmarks are . . . and already have them in our lesson plans (several times, even) . . . and are professional enough to know how to present this stuff??? The other is a reading evaluation to see if the kids have gained or lost since they took an evaluation AT THE END OF LAST SCHOOL YEAR!

Well, just one pair of jeans. But everything else on sale was and additional 30% off the marked price, so I got a dress, a top and a skirt as well. :)

I'm supposed to be at the sail club at 9:00 tomorrow, but should be back in town around 3. Don't have to be at the Eagles concert until 7:30.

That should give me time to swing through Chico's!

I rescued the plant from the 'used' plant area from the grocery store. I didn't know what color it would.

(in case you didn't see an earlier post on the Bored)
