RFK, Jr. Names Running Mate

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., has named California attorney Nicole Shanahan as his running mate. Many states require independent candidates to name a VP-pick to get on the ballot, so this move was needed to give him as much time as possible to get on as many state ballots as possible.

Shanahan is the ex-wife of Google co-founder Sergei Brin and called herself a lifelong Democrat in an interview earlier this year. But she donated $4 million to a Kennedy Superpac and helped produce his Super Bowl ad this year.
