$2K: I had it down to sled and frisbee. I also would've asked the audience. That 32% spike on frisbee worried me, but I would've gone ahead with the sled.

So is this another generational thing or is it a north/south thing? The Flexible Flyer is a classic!

I'm not sure how old Nelly is, but I think we could say that.

Boggles my mind.

When dad has his surgery, my aunt was in the waiting room with me. She's his sister (half-sister, actually) whose age is exactly in between dad's and mine. So, the doctor comes to talk to us and mentions the differences in how an operation would affect someone from his generation compared to mine or hers. I had to smile that she was put in a different generation than her brother! :)

Probably a north-south thing. We don't get a whole lot of snow in Kentucky (with the exception of the January '94 blizzard). I don't know what a sled looks like. :P

And btw, I turn 28 in May.

I think it was the Christmas when I had just turned 10 that I got what likely was my greatest gift ever:

a Flexible Flyer!

We would wax the runners, and sled down our front yard and into the street and then down the long hill.

When we had deep snow, we would hose down the yard to get a harder, faster sledding surface. :)

I suspect it is more a generational thing. I have lived all my life in the south and know what a flexible flyer is. And I have about a "generation" on Nelly it would seem.

I fondly remember the one I had as a child!

I did read an article recently, though, that they aren't selling nearly as well as they used to and were in danger of being discontinued. :(

Had I passed the J! test and gone for an audition I was going to use my "lost luggage" story from my trip to Macedonia as a hook.

Another generational question - snowboards have replaced the ol' reliable Flexible Flyer for children going downhill in snow.

Or the big snow of the winter of 77-78, which was before your time.
