What a truly nasty question. This was WAY undervalued, IMO. Astaire did, of course, dance to "Puttin' On the Ritz," but it was a solo number in "Blue Skies" (I had to look it up), not a dance with Rogers. And "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes" was in a really obscure movie called "Roberta" (it's a Jerome Kern operetta -- again, I had to look that one up, too).
It's too bad...she was doing so well, too....
There is something wrong in a government where they who do the most have the least. There is something wrong when honesty wears a rag, and rascality a robe; when the loving, the tender, eat a crust while the infamous sit at banquets.

Surprisingly I know this one because C is a tap-dance routine and Fred and Ginger didn't do such numbers together.BBTranscriptTeam wrote:$16K The legendary Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers danced together on the silver screen to all but which of these classic songs?

No, but when I saw your reply I laughed. You know what they say about great minds...peacock2121 wrote:Hey!

Plus whenever I hear the song I think of Peter Boyle in Young Frankenstein and somehow I couldn't envision Ginger and Fred doing that number.

And your hunch is quite correct. Rochester has its own TV stations and doesn't have to watch the ones in NYC.earendel wrote:I don't think it's in the WE® area - I've actually been to Rochester.BBTranscriptTeam wrote:Tiffany Feaster

Thanks for the detailed explanation, KT. As usual, when the question writers are told that they have to write an entire week with just one category of questions, they end up undervaluing them way too much.KillerTomato wrote:BBTranscriptTeam wrote: $16K The legendary Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers danced together on the silver screen to all but which of these classic songs?

As if all the young and trendy contestants they favor are fans of Fred and Ginger...

Looks like the Netflix Movie Thousandaire week is off to a solid start.
I didn't know a single one from 2K on with any degree of confidence and I expect that this will continue for me for most of the week. I suspect that the cast will fare only slightly better. Making it to 25K would seem likely to be even less common than usual...
