I'm still not used to the new BBBL site nor the Fantasy Football site. Whining has done no good. There must be some tracking feature built into the new sites that our desire for efficiency and user friendliness can't overcome.littlebeast13 wrote:TheCalvinator24 wrote:First, I hate the new website.

The new upgrade is going to take some getting used to, but it's the third WG site redesign I've gone through and I've eventually acclimated to each new version....
I do not like that it spoils the city on the list that comes up when I go to check my hits. I like to be surprised when I click on a hit link...

Connecticut becomes State #43.
I still need:
Alaska
Alabama
Delaware
Massachusetts
Montana
Rhode Island
Vermont
Alabama and Montana are still the 2 that annoy me the most.

Alabama is an odd state to still be needing... then again, I know people who have come down to needing Mississippi to complete their state bingo.
Massachusetts also stands out... probably 90% of my New England hist come from CT and MA... in fact, I am only one away from county bingo in each of those states....
VT is hard as hell to get... still just 2 VT hits out of over 10,800 total. Odds are, you will come down to VT and AK like I did. AK completed my bingo, but I've had a good handful of additional hits from Alaska since then...

This George found his way to a prominent Georger: #1 in Louisiana and #6 overall!

According to his profile, David owns a grocery store. He must enter ever bill that passes through his cash register.

Hey, I received my first Stealth George!
http://www.wheresgeorge.com/b:zJdodEUSJ&e
When the little bell rang, I was sure it would be another false hit, asking me if the serial number was for a different series. But from the details on Marcello's profile, it appears that Stealth Georges are all he enters. 27,430 bills entered with only a 0.23% hit rate! Are those rare hits really enough of a reward to motivate one to keep up the entries?

There are stealth Georgers who have entered over 100,000 stealths. I wouldn't go through all the trouble if I couldn't mark the bills...
Interestingly enough, I once found two stealth Georges (from different users and locations) in the same bundle of 100 ones... and I've maybe found 15 or so stealths ever...

Same user re-entered the bill after more than 4 years. Still counted as an alternate hit.

My new record sleeper....... by a long shot!
Per WG's accounting, it is also my 11,111th hit (though my notebooks say it's actually #11,109).....

I found a Stealth George today, which had been in the wild for 7 1/2 years.

I've always thought that the stealth hit rate is so low that they're not worth anyone's time, but this Georger has entered over half a million of them!

Casper is probably Where's George's most famous Stealth Georger... or at least was back in the website's heyday. As you can see from his profile, he hasn't refreshed his Your Bills page in over 3 years...
I don't believe I have ever entered one of his stealths....

Re: WG Update
I find the note on this one a little hard to believe.
This is a bill I marked Tuesday night and sent with my wife on her trip to Montana. The most likely scenario is that she spent it at the Salt Lake airport and someone got it in change there and took it to Arizona. For it to change hands at a garage sale on a Thursday just seems a little unlikely to me. I'm guessing the person who entered it is the one who got it at the airport and just didn't notice it until later.

When would she have spent it at the airport? If it was sometime on Wednesday, I'd say it could be perfectly legit. Once the bill arrived in Arizona, the fact that it could have been spent and given in change at a yard sale (both transactions occurring earlier in the day) is entirely plausible... unless your point is that such garage sales are more common on the weekends.
If you ignored the fact that it made it to AZ via UT so quickly (Spending a bill at an airport is just like putting it in a teleporter), and let's say you spent this bill locally on Wednesday and got this same hit with the same user note, only from a couple towns over rather than a couple states... would this hit have given you similar pause?
I think you are correct that it's a somewhat unlikely scenario... but unlikely events occur every day....
