STARTER FRIDAY APRIL 4, 2008
The year before the death of Dr. King....
Arthur Conley had a big big hit record "Sweet Soul Music":
Place from the beginning to the end of the 1967 song "Sweet Soul Music", the verses which discuss the following artists (the last verse ending with "He's the king of them all, y'all)
1 - James Brown
2 - Wilson Pickett
3- Lou Rawls
4- Otis Redding
5- Sam and Dave
(The five verses were, more or less, in increasing order of reputation, and, I think, those reputations have been preserved to the current day)

Does it sound like I have no idea? Right you are!
The board already is acting wonky for me, so if I disappear, it will not be of my own choosing.

Silver is very close.
of course, she has too many players on the ice there. only 5, not 6...
Lou Rawls _ "singing Love's A Hurtin Thing"
Sam and Dave "singin Hold on I'm a Comin"
Wilson Pickett 'that Wicked, wicket Pickett, singin Mustag Sally"
Otis Redding , singin Fa-Fa-Fa-Fa,etc
James Brown , he's the king of them all.
Rawls, Pickett and Brown died in the same calendar year, recently.
