Now that The Most Dangerous Game is out of play, we can use Cooper.

Merien Cooper = 98. KING KONG and 66. (SPLENDOR IN THE) GRASS
Splendor in the Grass was the one that was incorrectly marked as already used. I wanted to use it twice, but I couldn't find an Elia Kazan film title that could be contained within the title of a reasonably usable film. (Boomerang came the closest.)

So, the only thing we have left is Hunt for Red October

We were looking for "Hunt" and "Red". We should have been looking for "October".

Sergei Eisenstein = 105. ALEXANDER NEVSKY and 48. (THE HUNT FOR RED) OCTOBER

Everything has been used once now. There are probably other possible matches, but I think that we can call this one finished.
"[Drumpf's] name alone creates division and anger, whose words inspire dissension and hatred, and can't possibly 'Make America Great Again.'" --Kobe Bryant (1978-2020)

"In times of crisis, the wise build bridges. The foolish build barriers." --Chadwick Boseman (1976-2020)

Yes, you've used every movie once, so I think we can write finis. Good job!

For the record, here are the only two pairs I had that you didn't get:

JEAN RENOIR
139. The Rules of the Game + 8. (The Bridge on) The River (Kwai)

DAVID O. RUSSELL
82. American Hustle + 10. (The) Joy (Luck Club)

I beg to differ. I point you to this....from Sunday

Jean Renior - 8. (THE BRIDGE OVER) THE RIVER and 47. BOUDU SAVED FROM DROWNING*
Didn't Renior also direct Rules of the Game? Unlike Frank to use dupes.

LOVED THIS, Frank!!!

Way too much fun - and I found new movies!

Although thinking Most Dangerous Game was Trader Horn except not really WILL embarrass me for a long time.

Good game, Frank.

And you only killed off one person for that entire time.

Maybe these didn't make it onto the last consolidation I checked. I noticed the Maysles brothers weren't there either.
