Instead of the usual cold open on SNL this week, Jason Aldean paid his respects to both the horrors committed in Las Vegas and the untimely passing of a music legend.

Re: This Week's News
Thanks for posting.
My wife had SNL on when I got home last night but I didn't pay too much attention. It was background noise, but I did note the lack of Trump bashing. There may have been some, but I didn't see any in Gal Gadot's monologue or in the two skits I saw before my wife went to bed and I changed the channel to watch football.

..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.

Re: This Week's News
No hidden political message in the Hebrew part of the monologue either.
"Weekend Update" made fun of Trump throwing paper towels, and Kate McKinnon played Ruth Bader Ginsburg, but no political jokes that I can remember.
Kenan Thompson and Gal Gadot's date had me rolling on the floor.

Re: This Week's News
Great intro and tribute song.
Lots of Kardashian bashing in the first part, which is always good.

I would have loved to be in the crowd to hear them respond as they realized it was a double tribute.Vandal wrote:Great intro and tribute song.

Re: This Week's News
The degree of Trump bashing of a particular episode may depend on the availability of Alec Baldwin any particular week. He's not a regular cast member so they have to work their skits around his schedule. Trump-Wonder Woman offered great possibilities, but the actual Wonder Woman sketch they came up with was pretty good (the O.J. date skit was the best).BackInTex wrote:It was background noise, but I did note the lack of Trump bashing.
