After Travis called his +1 instead of just going along with the audience, and Adam knew Wednesday's child, I thought they dodged the bullet. But no!

The Talmud has a completely different version:
It was recorded in Rabbi Joshua ben Levi's notebook: He who [is born] on the first day of the week [Sunday] shall be a man without one [thing] in him — What does 'without one [thing] in him' mean? Shall we say, without one virtue? Rabbi Ashi said: I was born on the first day of the week! Hence it must surely mean, one vice. But Rabbi Ashi said: I and Dimi ben Kakuzta were born on the first day of the week: I am a king and he is the captain of thieves!  — Rather it means either completely virtuous or completely wicked.  [What is the reason? Because light and darkness were created on that day.] He who is born on the second day of the week will be bad-tempered — What is the reason? Because the waters were divided thereon. He who is born on the third day of the week will be wealthy and unchaste. What is the reason? Because herbs were created thereon. [Herbs multiply with exceptional speed and can live with many other types of plants.] He who is born on the fourth day of the week will be wise and of a retentive memory.  What is the reason? Because the luminaries were suspended. [In the heavenly bodies, God encrypted great knowledge.] — He who is born on the fifth day of the week will practice benevolence. What is the reason? Because the fishes and birds were created thereon. He who is born on the eve of the Sabbath [Friday] will be a seeker. Rabbi Nahman ben Isaac commented: A seeker after good deeds. He who is born on the Sabbath will die on the Sabbath, because the great day of the Sabbath was desecrated on his account. Raba son of Rabbi Shila observed: And he shall be called a great and holy man.

Interestingly, I knew this one because of a previous Millionaire question. During the Regis days, a player left with $0 because he couldn't identify Tuesday's Child as being "full of grace". Coincidentally, the audience was wrong then too.

I remembered the old question and posted it on the Facebook Bored Ark.
42% of the audience said Monday's Child is full of grace
34% was correct with Tuesday's Child.

It was for $500, which was the fourth question in the prime time money tree.

This contestant is also on Twitter as a game show fan.

500: easy

1K: easy

2K: easy

3K: easy

5K: easy

7K: C is the only one that makes sense

10K: I don't get why Millionaire (both the U.S. and U.K. versions) has such an obsession with this nursery rhyme. Nobody's heard of it, so of course nobody's gotten a question right on it.

Wasn't a question very similar to the $7,000 question asked in the last year or two? I remember blowing a question that was something like "Which of these balls goes the fastest?"

I don't know the rhyme that well, but if my friend knew the 3rd line was "full of woe," I'd guess the "far to go" had to be the fourth line, just to maintain the rhyming couplets.

Speak for yourself. Remembering which trait goes with which day isn't easy (which is why it can make for good trivia), but I'd bet most people have been exposed to the Monday's Child rhyme a time or two. Maybe that doesn't apply to millennials, but they can vacate my lawn anytime they wish....

I knew what Wednesday's child was, and would have made the correct assumption that the Plus One for some reason didn't. I would have probably bombed the primetime question Snaxx brought up because I would have flip-flopped grace and fair of face...

He did know what Wednesday's child was. He just tried to rhyme it (line 3) back to line 2 instead of line 4. I knew this was in couplets, so I would have gone with Thursday for the rhyme.

I think I showed I knew that. The second part of my statement you quoted would make no sense unless I assumed "Wednesdays child is full of woe" is common knowledge, which I certainly don't think it is. The inferred "incorrect assumption" was linking Wednesday to Tuesday rather than Thursday via the more basic knowledge about how the rhyme works...

The +1 guy is also a game show fanatic and has written several books about old game shows. Here is his Amazon page:
https://www.amazon.com/Adam-Nedeff/e/B00J5U21Z8
Both Travis and Adam are regulars at TCONA, mostly focused on producing the 24-hour marathon of old game show recreations. I think Travis was chosen from the August auditions for WWTBAM at TCONA, as were quite a few others who taped for the current season.

My bad. Re-reading it now, I see what you meant, but I related the assumption to the day, not to the rhyming line the first several times I read it. With your esplanation, I now read it your way. Sorry. Thanks!

Travis' episode taped in early July.
