The streak is dead. Long live the streak

#1 Post by SpacemanSpiff » Mon Dec 04, 2017 2:04 pm

After the NY Giants benched longtime started Eli Manning for Geno Smith in yesterday's game (to horrid results), the coach and GM were fired at the Gi-ain'ts this morning.

The move ended Eli's 210 game winning streak. When you consider the NFL season is 16 games (plus playoffs; I don't think exhibition games count in this stat), that gives you an idea of how long this is.

Interim coach says Eli is going to start next game. He gets to start a new streak now.

I don't follow sportsball anymore, but does this mean the Giants have won the last 10 Super Bowls?

Since their last playoff win six years ago, the Eli-led Giants have a losing record without even counting this year's 2-9.

But it's never Eli's fault. It's the O-line or the coaching or injuries or...

But never the QB. Amazing.

Next Sunday's game in the Meadowlands is meaningless for the Giants but crucial for the Eagles. I expect half the crowd will be wearing green.
