#1 Post by silverscreenselect » Tue Feb 13, 2018 4:58 am

TV and night club comic from the 1960's, who, with his straight man partner Steve Rossi, appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show 44 times, including the shows on which the Beatles appeared. Allen was known for his bushy hair and frequently befuddled expressions.

Age 95.

And his catch phrase "Hello Dere".

I had just referenced Marty Allen a few days ago in a conversation with my wife.

I really gotta stop doing that. Way too often, when I bring up some celebrity that hasn't been in the public eye for awhile, they wind up dead a few days later.
