Spade's housekeeper found the 55-year-old hanging in her apartment at 850 Park Ave., according to told CBS New York and the Associated Press.
Police were able to confirm that a 55-year-old woman was found unconscious in her bedroom and pronounced dead at about 10:25 a.m., but they did not immediately release the victim's name.
