Gosh. Didn't want to watch anything else
Other than the next leg(s) of Bush's travel to and from and to and from.
Really. Come on.
Really. Come on.
Well, then

Even I didn't get this kind of posthumous celebrity treatment! Not even an extra senior discount day at Golden Correl...
Who am I?!?!?!?!? Why am I here!?!?!?

No dead guy discounts? That sucks. Of course, booth cleanup pre-embalming is expensive.Admiral Stockdale wrote:Even I didn't get this kind of posthumous celebrity treatment! Not even an extra senior discount day at Golden Correl...

Re: Gosh. Didn't want to watch anything else
Golden Corral is getting wise to my cheapness strategies. They used to have a senior discount lunch special which was good until 4:00 and featured the buffet and a drink for less than the normal senior price of the buffet alone. So, Mrs. SSS and I would go there just before 4:00, get the special and then when they brought out the steak and other "premium" meats at 4:00, we would get a plate or two of them as well.Admiral Stockdale wrote:Even I didn't get this kind of posthumous celebrity treatment! Now, they've cut back on the special so it's only good until 3:00. So, we have to either sit around in the Golden Corral for an hour while the manager gives us an ugly stare or come in just before 4 and get the regular senior pricing which isn't quite as good a deal and doesn't include a free drink.
I hate it when restaurants get wise to my strategies.

Wow. You're tighter than Ranger Jeff. He would beat you at coupons, tho.silverscreenselect wrote:Golden Corral is getting wise to my cheapness strategies. I'mfulla crap. Taking the bet off the table. Too many early bird specials or Kroger manager specials missed if we were to lose.Beebs52 wrote:No. Really. 500 buck bet. No contest.silverscreenselect wrote:We'll have to see about that.Beebs52 wrote: He would beat you at coupons, tho.

For what it's worth, I don't take bets like that. Couponing in large part depends on what items you're looking to buy and how your local stores handle closeouts, near-expiration-dates and similar items (and how picky you are about buying those sorts of things; as you might guess, I'm not very picky). Also whether you still have access to double coupons (both Kroger and Publix did away with them a while back here in Atlanta).Beebs52 wrote:I'mfulla crap. Taking the bet off the table. Yeah, no double coupons. We're set in case of nukleer war on non perishables...silverscreenselect wrote:For what it's worth, I don't take bets like that. Damn, this quickly went from a cat fight to a kitten fight.
