Fireball Puzzle X: A Man of Many Words

#1 Post by Pastor Fireball » Fri Jan 11, 2019 11:03 am

I was hoping to post this on Monday, but I've been fighting a nasty cold all week.

Solve the 100 clues below. Then, using two names and one of the Associated Words at the bottom, form 50 connections based on a Tangredi, or hidden principle, that you must discover for yourself. No name or Associated Word will be used more than once. Alternate matches are possible, but there is only one combination that properly uses all 100 names.

It should also be noted that clue #100 is deliberately vague because his identity will invariably reveal this puzzle's theme. Nonetheless, it would behoove you to establish the Tangredi before you attempt to guess #100.

I consider anyone participating in this "game" to be condoning the rhetoric used in the avatar of the game host.

Am I right?

If not, why feed the troll?

Question 89: I assume this is asking about the person who was oldest at the time he scored his 25,000th point, not the earliest-born person who has ever scored 25,000 points in the NBA. Please confirm. --Bob

Making the answer Vince Carter, as he recently passed 25,000 points, and he is 41.

As Super Mario Brothers is widely-acknowledged as the worst video game to film adaptation, Samantha Mathis would be the answer to #32.
