Lyrically Speaking - 2/7/19

#1 Post by ShitSandwich » Thu Feb 07, 2019 4:28 am

Yeah, it's Kitty Sandwich in da house again! You may remember back in my younger, wilder days I may have posted a few games in this LSWE contest that mighta sorta been construed as vulgar and obscene by all the Pansy Kidds out there. Eh, those days of sex, catnip and rock and roll are over for me. I've become what Cat Chow would consider to be an adult cat now, and I've turned over a new leaf since I became clean and found Ceiling Cat. What do you mean the lying theme was yesterday's game? I'm serious! My theme for this game is as clean as the crack of a dolphin's ass and as pure as the cocaine on Charlie Sheen's jizz stained coffee table. See for yourself! There's even a bonus song tacked on at the very end just for all those people who once thought I was a waste of fur and Nine Lives. Purrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....

1 point for the title, 1 point for the artist, 3 points for the theme...

1. Though I know you're the kind of boy
Who only wants to run around
I'll keep waiting, and, someday darling
You'll come to me when you want to settle down,
Oh!

2. When I'm far from home
Don't call me on the phone
To tell me you're alone

3. Hey little girl is your daddy home
Did he go away and leave you all alone
I got a bad desire

4. She musters a smile
For his nostalgic tale
Never coming near what he wanted to say
Only to realize
It never really was

5. We won't have to drive too far
Just 'cross the border and into the city
You and I can both get jobs
And finally see what it means to be living

6. Sometimes we all feel a need to change
Our love we have to rearrange
And move on to something new, yes you do

7. Ride to Harlem, Hollywood
Jackson, Mississippi

8. There`s colors on the street
Red, white and blue
People shufflin` their feet
People sleepin` in their shoes

9. Now as I look into your eyes
Well I wonder if it's wise
To hold you like I've wanted to before

10. Windmill, Windmill for the land.
Learn forever hand in hand

11. Well, I wake in the morning
Fold my hands and pray for rain
I got a head full of ideas
That are driving me insane

12. You ain't seen the best of me yet
Give me time, I'll make you
Forget the rest

13. Now I know, that I had to borrow
Beg and steal and lie and cheat
Trying to keep ya, trying to please ya
'Cause being in love with your ass ain't cheap

Theme? (Don't forget to answer this jarnon!)

Kroxquo Bonus: Name another song with artist that fits the theme of today's game.

I got this one from the theme, when I realized that He's So Fine wasn't used

2. When I'm far from home
Don't call me on the phone
To tell me you're alone

Eyes Without a Face - Billy Idol

Probably my least favourite Idol song, but it somehow is the one I hear the most (including in KFC yesterday when I went to lunch with my mom and bro) what is up with that?

3. Hey little girl is your daddy home

And move on to something new, yes you do

I've become what Cat Chow would consider to be an adult cat now, and I've turned over a new leaf since I became clean and found Ceiling Cat. What do you mean the lying theme was yesterday's game? We don't know the songs, and we don't know the theme, so we don't know what to do,
except thank you for the game.

Me and Wiki will have a nice day. We hope you will, too.

1. Though I know you're the kind of boy
Who only wants to run around
I'll keep waiting, and, someday darling
You'll come to me when you want to settle down,
Oh!
One Fine Day - Chiffons

2. When I'm far from home
Don't call me on the phone
To tell me you're alone
Eyes Without A Face - Billy Idol (For those who can't get enough of girls in leather slapping their own ass...)

3. Hey little girl is your daddy home
Did he go away and leave you all alone
I got a bad desire
I'm On Fire - Bruce Springsteen (Who apparently needs to have a seat over there...)

4. She musters a smile
For his nostalgic tale
Never coming near what he wanted to say
Only to realize
It never really was
What A Fool Believes - Doobie Brothers

5. We won't have to drive too far
Just 'cross the border and into the city
You and I can both get jobs
And finally see what it means to be living
Fast Car - Tracy Chapman

6. Sometimes we all feel a need to change
Our love we have to rearrange
And move on to something new, yes you do
Love Will Find A Way - Pablo Cruise

7. Ride to Harlem, Hollywood
Jackson, Mississippi
Uptown Funk - Mark Ronson and some Bruno who isn't Bruce Willis

8. There`s colors on the street
Red, white and blue
People shufflin` their feet
People sleepin` in their shoes
Rockin' In The Free World - Neil Young (When Earl pointed out that she thought I'd used this one already, I immediately head slapped myself because I knew I had screwed up. And then I checked and saw that I hadn't used it yet. Maybe Old Man a couple weeks ago threw us both off...)

9. Now as I look into your eyes
Well I wonder if it's wise
To hold you like I've wanted to before
The Next Time I Fall - Peter Cetera and Amy Grant (I don't recall seeing this song in anyone's answers, so this may have been a shutout. Of course, after three days I may just be forgetting...)

10. Windmill, Windmill for the land.
Learn forever hand in hand
Feel Good, Inc. - Gorillaz (Yet another song with a prominent bassline that I love. And of course, De La Soul working "asscracks" into the rap...)

11. Well, I wake in the morning
Fold my hands and pray for rain
I got a head full of ideas
That are driving me insane
Maggie's Farm - Bob Dylan (We already visited Junior's Farm....)

12. You ain't seen the best of me yet
Give me time, I'll make you
Forget the rest
Fame - Irene Cara (Because it's too hard to get LSWE lyrics out of the other Fame...)

13. Now I know, that I had to borrow
Beg and steal and lie and cheat
Trying to keep ya, trying to please ya
'Cause being in love with your ass ain't cheap
Fuck You - Cee Lo Green

Theme? (Don't forget to answer this jarnon!) - Four letter words beginning with F (You had to have both elements to get full theme credit. Only mentioning F words or 4 letter words got you one point)

Image Bonus: If you know the theme, then you know what to do...

While I was hoping for images of other four letter F words, those of you who knew the theme kinda went in a different direction. That's fine... there's nothing wrong with fucking pictures, and I think everyone who knew the exact theme was awarded IB credit. Anon gets the second IBB of the year that was awarded for animal sex, and maybe the first for bestiality. That may be noteworthy, or perhaps a sign that I have a fucked up sense of humor...

I actually looked back and I did post it, but it wasn't in an LS game. Here is the video again. If you don't want to listen to Bruno talk (but who wouldn't), you can FF to 1:30, but watch to the end....

I cannot believe that I missed this one. I'm a big fan of the Chicago & Peter Cetera stuff.
