RIP Rudy Boesch

#1 Post by bazodee » Sat Nov 02, 2019 2:27 pm

Rudy was the oldest contestant in the history of Survivor, appearing in Season 1 (Borneo) and famously forming an alliance with the ultimate winner Richard Hatch. Rudy was 72 years old when he appeared in 2001. He was a former Navy SEAL, joining the service in 1945.

I’m technologically limited at the moment and can’t refer a link for this, but I read it from TMZ.

Rudy’s family said he died from complications from Alzheimer’s disease.

He was at the center of some brilliant game play in the first season, when Richard Hatch, realizing he had no chance if he either faced Rudy in the final two or stabbed him to face Kelly, played the only move that gave him a chance by quitting the final immunity challenge. --Bob
