Bo Slyapich for SC's and Annie's Rolodex
Suitguy is not bitter.
feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive
The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

Jeff has another study that just came out. There was a press embargo on it being released, but somebody released it and then other people did too.
So far the level of madness hasn't been as great as the Snake thing, Jeff has yet to appear in Sports Illustrated or Time.

I have about ten containers of Aqua Dots in my garage if anyone needs a gift for their special someone.

So that's what he is doing in Washington D.C....“These chemicals appear to have a knack for being inadvertently introduced into such products, despite their known toxicities,” says Suchard. The presentation is entitled “1,4-Butanediol Content of Aqua Dots Craft Toy Beads.” This paper will be presented at the 2008 SAEM Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. on May 30th. Abstracts are published in Vol. 15, No. 5, Supplement 1, May 2008 of Academic Emergency Medicine, the official journal of the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine.

Emma had the never to ask to play with a box of them and Jeff let her.silvercamaro wrote:I hope he included a footnote in his paper: "This study could not have been conducted without the quick action of my brilliant wife PSM, who bought these little boogers on e-Bay."
She said that they weren't very fun.
She had leftover Aquadots and I was going to toss them. Jeff wanted to save them. I'd better not let him fix me any drinks.

I just love the contrast in the title, between 1,4-Butanediol" and "Aqua Dots Craft Toy Beads".
