varmint issue
a skunk wandered into a cage trap which was protecting Carl the Duck from evil predators.
Carl refuses to let it out.
I am considering throwing a sheet over the cage, then sneaking up on it after dark and opening the door. But, I remember what happened to Peter Brady when he was sprayed.
or maybe that was keith partridge.
anywho, I am open to suggestions.
Carl refuses to let it out.

I don't know how to solve your problem. I do know that Johnson's Baby Shampoo gets the smell off my sister Irish when she tries to be the boss of skunks.BigDrawMan wrote:a skunk wandered into a cage trap which was protecting Carl the Duck from evil predators.

My mom says baby shampoo works better and isn't as messy. I don't know from personal experience, because skunks like me better than Irish.Ritterskoop wrote:I read tomato juice also will remove the aroma.AnnieCamaro wrote:

Take the cage someplace suitable for skunks (OUTSIDE Jefferson Borough or Elizabeth, thengyewverramush), open the door, and run like crazy back to your car.BigDrawMan wrote:a skunk wandered into a cage trap which was protecting Carl the Duck from evil predators.

The skunk will toddle away, and you can retrieve the cage.
That is my suggestion.
Good luck.

I have always had very good luck with Dawn dishwashing liquid, even on my beautiful four-inch furred Bigfoot. However, I know it's very hard on skin, so next time I'll try baby shampoo.AnnieCamaro wrote:I don't know how to solve your problem. It would be horrible if the skunk got upset in the car and sprayed.SportsFan68 wrote:Take the cage someplace suitable for skunks (OUTSIDE Jefferson Borough or Elizabeth, thengyewverramush), open the door, and run like crazy back to your car.BigDrawMan wrote:a skunk wandered into a cage trap which was protecting Carl the Duck from evil predators.

Re: varmint issue
It was the entire Partridge family, after Chris and Tracy let it wander onto their bus, thinking it was a cute little kitty. Then, when they got to their hotel, room service wouldn't sell them tomato juice, except by the glassful. They ordered many glasses!BigDrawMan wrote: I am considering throwing a sheet over the cage, then sneaking up on it after dark and opening the door. But, I remember what happened to Peter Brady when he was sprayed.
