Registration Change
It really has a minimal effect on those who are already here (other than creating MM's, of course) but I wanted to make everyone aware that I just changed the Bored registration process to include email activation.
Long story short, anyone who registers a new account has to give a legit email address. Once they've registered, they receive an email with an activation link. Clicking on that link allows them to activate their account and start posting.
Hopefully, that will slow the p0rn spammers down a bit until I can get some better security measures in place. I'll be working on it later today, in fact.
If anyone has any questions about any of this, don't hesitate to ask.

Unfortunately, it is checking the uniqueness of the address you enter, so registering Merry Men is going to be a bit complicated for the moment.
And before anyone thinks of it, the uniqueness of the address is verified even after registration as well....if you sign up with one email address, and then try to change it later, what you change it to must be unique as well.
Once I get a few modifications to the web site's code in place to block spam bots (MVLease was talking about them in a different thread) I'll turn the email activation feature back off so that everyone (i.e. primarily lb13 and mini) can get back to their anonymous mischief again.
In the mean time, bear with me while I get this sorted out.

22 days and counting until the annual parade! I'm sure you can work within that window...

Jasper, is that your very own picture? You are very handsome.

I'm pretty sure that's a photo from Jasper's baby book.Ritterskoop wrote:Jasper, is that your very own picture? You are very handsome.
I don't think I have any baby pictures. My mom said it's because I was too wiggly and too fast ever to stay in the frame of a photograph.
I spent a lot of time tonight trying to update some software on my laptop, though, so I can download some photos of Lizbit before she gets way past puppyhood.

It's one of Jasper's kitten Pictures for Halloween. Jasper now weighs close to 20 pounds. The girls say that he is fat. I say that he is big boned. Emma always replies, "then he's got a big bone in his butt."
He likes to sit on high narrow ledges. One of these days I am going to get a picture of him sitting on a ledge with all of his fat hanging down.

You were around the year Eyegor couldn't attend.minimetoo26 wrote:Man--I never got around to making Merry Men! Of course, I'm always gone at Thanksgiving, so I never get to join the parade.
I've probably changed my avatar more times than anyone but uly, so that has satisfied my craving for playing dress-up...
Good thing too or else it would have been a parade of lb's merry men....

You say that like it's a bad thing! You should be used to talking to yourself by now! (I was going to say "playing with yourself," but it just seemed so wrong in light of our recent visitors....)littlebeast13 wrote:

I can't keep up a solo MM parade more than about 15 or 20 posts....minimetoo26 wrote:You say that like it's a bad thing! You should be used to talking to yourself by now! (I was going to say "playing with yourself," but it just seemed so wrong in light of our recent visitors....)
I did decide to get in the spirit and dress up for Halloween, though....
