Amazon's alternative to free ad-supported channels like Tubi TV and the Roku Channel, has discontinued operations. Freevee's former content is being moved over to Amazon Prime Video. Over the next few weeks, the "Freevee" logo will disappear from the listings and be replaced by "Amazon Prime." However, when non-Prime Video subscribers access former Freevee content in searches, it will include a label "Watch for Free." Amazon says that "a vast offering of free streaming content will still be accessible for non-Prime members," although exactly how much remains to be seen. Freevee includes some original series like Bosch: Legacy (which will be back for a third season), Leverage Redemption, and Jury Duty. In addition, Amazon previously made early seasons of its own Amazon Prime series like the original Bosch, Reacher, and The Boys available on Freevee. For now, those seasons will remain available for non-Prime Video members. Since early 2024, Prime Video has included ads for its programming unless subscribers pay an additional monthly fee to watch ad-free.
