The Sam of soul singing duo Sam and Dave, whose hits included Soul Man, You Don't Know Like I Know, and Hold On I'm Coming. The pair inspired the Blues Brothers. After the death of Dave Prater in 1988, Moore continued to tour and record on his own, appearing in Blues Brothers 2000.
