The refinement Frank referred to must be that one substitute goes at the beginning of the new title and the other guess at the end. At least, that's been true of all the completed pairs so far.
That’s why my last consolidation had Escape from L.A. rather than Escape from New York.

Kevin Spacey (B-32) is also used for Baby Driver, which goes with Taxi Driver (A-19).
A-68. “Klopstokia. A far away country. Chief exports – goats and nuts. Chief imports – goats and nuts. Chief inhabitants – goats and nuts.”

Okay I looked it up. MILLION DOLLAR LEGS

That becomes Million Dollar Baby, which means that Clint Eastwood, Morgan Freeman, or Hilary Swank is one of the remaining clues.

This forms Murder, Inc., which goes with Peter Falk (B-15).

I'm guessing here, but I'm guessing that one of the missing movies is A Perfect World, which forms A Perfect Murder, but both Michael Douglas and Viggo Mortensen are in A Perfect Murder, which could mean that Frank made an oopsie or that Michael Douglas isn't the right answer. If A Perfect World is right, I'm guessing that it goes with Clint Eastwood as a second match for Clint.

When I realized the James Baldwin quote was likely Intruders in the Dust, I started looking for Greeg Garson for Blossoms in the Dust.

A-71. Ralph Ellison called this filmization of a Faulkner novel “the only film that could be shown in Harlem without arousing unintended laughter.”

INTRUDER IN THE DUST

B-27. He played the husband of the same actress in seven different films, including both of the films for which he received Oscar nominations.

I shouldda been looking for WATER PIDGEON

A-71 BLOSSOMS in the Dust - B-27 Walter Pidgeon
A-15. Broken BLOSSOMS - B-4. LILLIAN GISH

As someone just said, it gets easier once you know what you're looking for.

ORDINARY PEOPLE - Said by Donald Sutherland

Now, Sutherland was in Alex in Wonderland.

B-43. Inextricably linked, these two actors appeared together in seven films and an eponymous reality series.
LAUREL AND HARDY

Laurel and Hardy were in Babes in Toyland with Charlotte Henry, who was in Alice in Wonderland.

So, there could easily be something there. I need to go through all the answers and think.
Realized this didn't work and Sutherland is likely here for Simone Simon's cat people.

Still looking for Stan and Ollie match.

This is The Barefoot Executive with Kurt Russell B-5. Goes with
A-6. “It's bizarre. Eight years with the national theatre, two Pinter plays, nine Shakespeare, three Shaw, and I finally get nominated for a nauseating little comedy.”
CALIFORNIA SUITE
For Execuiive Suite. I don't see an actor match yet. Executive Suite had a big name cast headed by William Holden and Barbara Stanwyck.

A-1. Bengt Ekerot (who?) earned a lasting place in cinematic history (really!) with his iconic (and I don’t use the word ‘iconic’ lightly) role in this film.
THE SEVENTH SEAL
This links to The Seventh Cross with Spencer Tracy B-38

A-33. This movie bagged its star an Oscar on his fifth of seven (so far) nominations.
SCENT OF A WOMAN

A-57. Ranked by Martin Scorsese as one of the scariest movies ever made, this 1945 horror movie was inspired by an undead creature from Greek folklore known as a vrykolakas.
THE CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON

B-43. Inextricably linked, these two actors appeared together in seven films and an eponymous reality series.
LAUREL AND HARDY
Clearing up some problems, most of which were my fault. A-33 is CRAZY HEART. The actor is Jeff Bridges.

A-57 can't be The Creature from the Black Lagoon, which was made in 1954.

I got carried away on B-43 trying to make a match with Babes in Toyland. Laurel and Hardy appeared in many more films together. I think this one is Cheech and Chong. A couple of the quotes sound like they could have come from a Cheech and Chong movie.

It looks like the answer requiring two actors was not as specific as it should have been. So let me add that these two actors are not a 'team' in the sense of Laurel and Hardy, Abbott and Costello, or Cheech and Chong. These are two actors, each with an independent career of his own, who nevertheless appeared together often and are inseparable in the public's mind.

A-75. This acclaimed 1978 documentary focuses on a very special kind of cemetery in Los Angeles.
This is GATES OF HEAVEN about the L.A. Pet Cemetery. That could link to Kingdom of Heaven or Days of Heaven, both of which are possibilities, but I don't see a matching film for either.

Sister Kenny is probably there for Sister Act, which is the Maggie Smith link. I don't see an "Act" movie either.

It could go with B-23. PATRICK SWAYZE for Dirty Dancing. I looked up other Dancing movies, and this one is intriguing: Dancing Lady, with Joan Crawford, Clark Gable, Nelson Eddy, Fred Astaire and The Three Stooges.

ISLE OF THE DEAD.

A-53. After seeing John Wayne in this Howard Hawks movie, John Ford reportedly said, "I never knew the big son of a bitch could act."
RED RIVER
Isle of the Dead probably links up with Dawn of the Dead. There are two versions of Dawn of the Dead, Romero's original from 1978 with a mostly unknown cast, and a 2004 remake with Ving Rhames and Sarah Polley. I don't see anyone from the cast of either version in the actors list.

Red River becomes Red Dawn with Patrick Swayze.( B-23)
