Actor best known for playing the hard-nosed SWAT team commander on Hill Street Blues and the title character's father on Doogie Howser, MD. He also made many TV guest appearances since the 1960s. Sikking's middle name was Barrie; he was named after the creator of Peter Pan.

His cause of death was complications of dementia. He was a Bruin.

Hill Street Blues was truly "must see TV" for my volleyball team. We would play our game and rush over to Terri's house to watch. I loved all the characters and the actors who brought them to life. I think it deserved every Emmy it got, and more.
