Among a few other books that I recently bought is:
1) "Canada's Sons on Kopje and Veldt" -obviously about Canada's role in the Boer War.
For some reason, Weyoun doesn't approve of my interest in the Boer War.

It's pretty boering.
Your friendly neighborhood racist. On the waiting list to be a nazi. Designated an honorary 'snowflake'. Trolled by the very best, as well as by BJ. Always typical, unlike others.., Fulminator, Hopelessly in the tank for trump... inappropriate... Flocking himself... Probably a tucking sexist, too... A clear and present threat to The Future Of Our Democracy.. Doesn't understand anything... Made the trump apologist and enabler playoffs... Heathen bastard... Knows nothing about history... Liar.... don't know much about statistics and polling... Nothing at all about biology... Ignorant Bigot... Potential Future Pariah... Big Nerd... Spiraling, Anti-Trans Bigot.. A Lunatic AND a Bigot.. Very Ignorant of the World in General... Sounds deranged... Fake Christian... Weird... has the mind of a child... Simpleton... gullible idiot... a coward who can't face facts... insufferable and obnoxious dumbass... the usual dum dum... idolatrous donkey-person!... Mouth-breathing moron

I don’t really care one way or the other, though I would note that the four people I’ve met who have strong opinions about how great it was when Rhodesia was around were horrible racists, and you seem like a guy who probably would reminisce for Rhodesia

Along with your searching the dark corners of the internet, you must have quite the circle to know multiple "horrible racists." Don't run across many of those in my life.
But I have been to Zimbabwe and spent time with black Zimbabweans who were not exactly happy with how things were turning out under Mugabe. They did not dare say much and I didn't press them for obvious reasons-I just listened to them and learned a lot.
