Ballot weirdness

#1 Post by tlynn78 » Mon Nov 04, 2024 1:04 pm

I mean, I know Montana isn't really in the mix, but I've never encountered this before. So, weeks ago, my husband and my father-in-law received their absentee ballots. We filled them out, and I hand-delivered them to the elections office the Monday after we got them. I did not receive one, and I assumed that was because I generally prefer to vote in person, especially if I'm on the ballot.
So this morning before I left for work, a lady rang my doorbell. We chatted, and she asked if I'd sent in my absentee ballot. I told her I hadn't received one and planned to vote in person. I could see on her phone where my f-i-l's ballot had been 'check-marked' but I did not see my husband's name. I asked her about it, and she said "he isn't even on the list" She also told me if I go in person, my ballot will 'probably go into the provisionals"
I'll be heading in to the elections office shortly to see what's up

I hope you got this all sorted out, and that your vote is recorded.
