The Bride signed up for one of these package deals from our cable company- tv, phone and internet for one low price (for two years, anyway).
My two concerns are 911 service and service in the event of a blackout.
Anybody here do this sort of thing, and are you happy with it?
I am particularly interested in hearing from Cablevision subscribers on Long Island (and you know who you are) but will take free advice from anyone. Even Pea.

Anyway. I have the triple threat. I have saved $1,500 just in phone costs the first year. If there is a power outage or the cable goes out, I do lose phone coverage. I figure I have a cell phone, so no biggie.
The business line still comes into the house, so we do have a landline as well. We are thinking about kicking Verizon to the curb on the business line as well. Just not yet.

Karen & Johnny have it -- they're pretty satisfied so far.
Now, if only the landlord would get the plumbing squared away....
Karen & John-Angelo camped out in our house again last night due to an unusable bathroom & shower at the new apartment. But the plumbers are working, they're working.....unlike the landlord at the previous place, who talked a good game but didn't fix anything!
Yuck, though!

Sorry, but this is a leap year, so I get 29 extra holidays.
I may be able to get around to it sometime next summer....

We have a "triple play" through Insight (which is related to Comcast somehow, though I'm not sure exactly how). We have had outages (brief ones) of all service (cable Internet, cable TV and telephone) but nothing too serious. I still have a landline through AT&T.
In the event of a major evacuation, the phone company can do a reverse 911 and tell you to leave. They can't do this with a cell phone.
About two months ago, our power was out because of wind damage. Most of my neighbors couldn't use their household phones, but I could.
It's a peace of mind issue for me, so I am willing to pay the extra money each month.

Verizon FiOS customers get power back-up for their phone services so you don't lose your telephone when the power goes out.
They just started putting in fiber-optic lines in the town next to me- I hope they're coming to my town next!
