Now Trump is calling Zelensky a dictator. Notice that Putin, the actual dictator in this scenario, is one of the few people about whom Trump has never spoken ill.

How do I know Zelensky is not a dictator? If he were, Trump would like him.
Wait a minute! I thought Trump was the dictator here. Make up your frikkin minds.

Not sure why you think this is funny. I don’t see Zelinsky posting any pictures of him wearing a crown.

Do you realize you’re trying to drive this country into the shitter?

Ukraine lost 1/5 of its territory to Russia under administrations that did nothing but point at Russia and tell us all the bad things it supposedly did and did NOTHING about them. You have said NOTHING about that, yet are making outrageous claims and projections without any basis or evidence about what 'could' happen, and using out-of-context quotes as the false foundation for your BS.

You have a great future as a CBS 'journalist' if you choose to pursue it.

I am not in ifonly's mud. I have not called him, or anyone, any names in a long time. I'm just going where he takes me.
Does it matter under whose watch Ukraine was invaded? No, it doesn't. That's in the past and short of a TARDIS or a DeLorean, we can't go back and change that. We are discussing the current situation.

And did you happen to hear Trump's speech yesterday? He claimed that Ukraine started the war - they didn't. He claimed that Zelensky has an approval rate of 4% - it's well over 50%. He claimed that Ukraine "ripped off" the US, with half the money sent them is missing - it isn't (this statement is based on an interview in which Zelenski said "When it's said that Ukraine received $200 billion to support the arm during the war, that is not true. I don't know where all the money is."

Even some Republican Congressmen are beginning to show a little spine in challenging Trump's words. Look, I get it. Trump wants to end the war so he can brag about his negotiating skills. But to sell out the Ukrainians is not the way to a lasting peace.

Obama can be faulted for inadequate support to Ukraine. As Trump said, Obama sent blankets while Trump sent bombs. Biden, however, responded forcefully to Russia’s attack. In addition to enormous military and humanitarian aid, he assembled a coalition of allies from Europe to Japan and India. And the sanctions he imposed have crippled Russia’s economy. Without Biden, Russia would have overrun Ukraine in 2023.

He also said we have given $300 billion to Ukraine and Europe only $100 billion (totally false). He’s learned to couch his assertions with “in my opinion" as if that shields him from fact-checking. OTOH, he’s amenable to a partial Russian pullback and cease-fire with European troops guarding a demilitarized zone. That may be an adequate deterrent to future Russian aggression. And I prefer to see Rubio leading negotiations rather than Trump facing Putin directly.

He WAS elected by a majority. You are factually wrong.

To be clear, he was elected by a majority of people who voted. Not eligible voters, not citizens, not american, not people of the world. So yes, Flock was not specific enough, but everyone with brain knew the context. You did, too. But you're such a prick you had to make your little dig, and yet, while doing it you yourself were wrong, to the extent Flock was.

If so, then he only said half of what he intended to do. He promised to negotiate an end to the war (I wn't quibble about the timing that he promised), but said nothing about selling out the Ukranians' territory, calling Zelensky a dictator, demanding Ukranian mineral rights, and shutting Ukraine and its European allies out of the negotiations. I think it's pretty clear that Trump is setting this up as a deal that Zelensky cannot in good conscience accept for his country and so Trump gets to blame him for being intransigent and derailing the peace process. So either Trump ends the war and is hailed for his negotiating prowess or he doesn't and it is all because of that stupid ingrate Zelensky. Look, our country's debt is unsustainable by any measure. We are borrowing money to pay off the interest on our debt. The only way we are going to get out of this debt, if it's not too late already, is to drastically reduce the size of this government and how much it spends and increase the revenue to pay off the debt. Not one politician from either side in the past several decades has had the cajones or courage to even address this problem with any measure of seriousness other than to blame someone else. Let me guess. 2+2 also equals 5 (that’s a reference to a famous book, by the way).

This President has hired one of this world's smartest men to find ways to make this government more efficient, and he has found billions of dollars of waste, corruption and outright fraud in just a few weeks time.

If you want to continue finding bullshit to throw at Trump, go for it. It has worked out great for you so far, so continue your insanity and keep doing it and expect a different result. No matter how much shit you throw at Trump, we, and an increasing percentage of the general public, know that you are much more full of shit than any you can throw at Trump. So go right on doing it. The rest of us will be happy seeing the corrupt swamp dwellers finally be held accountable for their crimes, if Bondi and Patel are true to their words.
And meanwhile, the price of eggs continues to climb.
Bird flu much?
Thank God we have a robust regulatory state in place to… oh wait

The previous regulatory state certainly helped prevent the current outbreak.
Well, then

So definitely the correct response is to cripple our capacity to respond even further.

Eggs are just one element of increasing food costs, despite Trump's promise that he would bring down food costs on Day One of his administration. QUOTE: "“When I win, I will immediately bring prices down, starting on Day One."
"Elen sila lumenn omentielvo...A star shines on the hour of our meeting."
