B - This city is known as the "Electric City". Cause General Electric used to make stuff there. Probably gazillions of light bulbs and so on. This city is very close to the capital city which is upstream from Poughkeepsie.
G - This city is known as the "Electric City". Because of trolleycars. It shares its name with the family famous throughout the state, one of whose members was the Governor back in '64 and got whomped by Goldwater at the Cow Palace

I don't want to be that old coot, and I don't want people to fail to be overcome by grief when I die.ontellen wrote:So does that explain the old coots who used to live behind us and just let their dog bark and bark and bark. I've never seen a dog like her. She just sat in the backyard barking at nothing - non stop. Sometimes it was at 1:00 a.m.
We put up with it for over 10 years. When they died I can't say I was overcome with grief. As far as I know Muffy is still alive and living with their daughter - I hope she has managed to shut her up.

When we moved to our current house the neighbors had an old dog named Charlotte. Who liked to bark. They were unimpressed that I sang to the dog and asked it to "Hush, Hush".silvercamaro wrote:I don't want to be that old coot, and I don't want people to fail to be overcome by grief when I die.ontellen wrote:So does that explain the old coots who used to live behind us and just let their dog bark and bark and bark. does that mean west to east?etaoin22 wrote:You'd have to Go Ask Alice for the clocks not to go clockwise.
But dont expect a physicist to know why time goes forwards.
Low pressure systems are disgustingly counterclockwise here in this hemisphere.
I can't think of pressures as going in a clock direction.
I shall ask Sting - he will tell me.

How sweet of your neighbor.silvercamaro wrote:How embarrassing. My neighbor just came to the door to say that Lizbit has been barking and barking. He was very nice, but I feel terrible that I was largely unaware that she was driving everybody else crazy.
I have lured her inside with a chewy stick.
Most would complain to others about you and never tell you.
I like your neighbor.
